Assaf Sheleg
Youth Cordinator
Assaf was born in 1984 and was raised in Kibbutz Maabarot, Israel.
From a very young age he was a member of one of the top youth academies in the country (Bietar Nes- Tubruk) which with he won several national championships and national cups. Between 2002-2003 he was a member of the U-19 Israeli National Team.

After 3 years of military service in the Israeli IDF Assaf decided to join Saint Peters College men’s soccer in 2006 (D1, MAAC conference).
With the Peacocks he participated in 3 MAAC championship games (2006, 2007,2010), won the title once (2010),
and went to the NCCA tourney twice (2007,2010). 
He served as the team captain for 3 seasons. He is a 3 times 1st ALL-MAAC-TEAM selection  (2007,2008,2010), MAAC Rookie- Team (2006) selection and one time (2008) ALL- REGION selection.  
Assaf was a finalist for the LOW’S Senior Class Men’s Soccer Award in 2009and was recently named the 2010 MAAC Defensive Player of the year.

For the Express, Assaf was a member of the 2010 squad and will also be playing in 2011.

Finally, Assaf is married to Michal, residing in Highland Park, NJ, has a BS in International trade with minor in History and is currently working on his MBA in International Business.
