The Jersey Express have announced it has reached an agreement with Apricot Consulting, hiring the international consulting firm with the intention of building the club’s Corporate Social Responsibility profile.
"They'll work with our Corporate Social Responsibility. We really have to get involved with the community and do stuff for the community," said Express general manager Gali Maimon. "Apricot will help us with things like non-profits, hosting clinics and workshops for the kids."
"They've been very successful at what they do. They're doing something right. I think (their history) of good marketing will help us out a lot."
Apricot Consulting, an international corporation with offices in the United States and Australia, has a history of developing and
growing Corporate Social Responsibility programs for various professional sports teams and leagues. Their list of clients include the Australian Football League, Cricket Australia, AIG Insurance and The Salvation Army.
“Our passion for linking communities and sporting organizations is an excellent fit with the Jersey Express,” Apricot CEO Derek Linsell said in a statement. “We hold ourselves to high standards of responsible citizenship – the same values that Jersey Express does – and that will be paramount to developing and driving their strategy forward.”
"I'm really looking forward to working them," Maimon said. "We've established ourselves as a good soccer organization, we perform on the field, we have a good name. Now, we have to take care of our responsibilities to the community. Apricot will guide us and help us to establish our goal."
Last year, the Jersey Express won the USL-PDL's Eastern Conference Tournament and were champions of the Mid-Atlantic Division. The Express will host their final tryout for the 2015 season on April 4, at NJIT 1:00 P.M.
The Jersey Express will open their season on May 16 at Long Island.
